Hello Laxers,
Just a quick reminder that our mandatory League-wide meeting will be held tomorrow, November 7, 2009 at the Millburn Public Library. The meeting is scheduled to run from 9:30 am – 12:00 noon. Each program is required to send at least one (1) representative and we ask that you come prepared to contribute at this meeting. Click here for directions to the library.
One order of business will be to update the numbers on our home page. Please be prepared to provide us with your best estimate of the number of players, broken down by age bracket, and coaches that make up your program. We will be rolling out our three (3) year phase-in period for mandatory US Lacrosse Level 1 Certification across all age brackets and recognize the costs associated with this initiative. The NJJGLL Board is currently reviewing our own financial position and intends to offer some form of assistance to our member clubs to lessen these costs over the next three (3) years. The number of coaches specifically will be of great importance to us, and you, moving forward.
Secondly, we urge you to consider donating any older lacrosse equipment that your program is holding onto for use at upcoming USL/NJJGLL clinics and/or for underprivileged start-up programs that cannot afford the latest and greatest gear available. Thank you for your kindness and help!
