Coaching Education + Clinics

Shout out from the back of the classroom at the USL Level 1 Instructional Clinic in Mountain Lakes from Sunday 3/20.  Tucker and Dwayne are rocking the crowd and we had a nice turnout of 50 coaches from all over the State as well as Washington, DC! It is great to see everyone chatting up the game and looking forward to getting out on the field with their girls.

Pre-registration through the US Lacrosse website is now CLOSED for the final two (2) clinics of the 2011 season. We look forward to seeing you at the Level 1 Clinic in Gillette this coming Saturday and the Level 2 Clinic in Chester on Sunday.

The Level 2 Clinic is completely SOLD OUT but there may be a limited number of walk-in registrations permitted at the Level 1 Clinic.  Please contact the on-site coordinator Courtney Turco by clicking here to see if we can fit you in.

2011 Youth Rules Interpretation

The wait is over!......the 2011 version of the Youth Rules Interpretation is now available for viewing on YouTube by clicking here.  We had some technical challenges that delayed its posting on the internet this year and apologize for any inconveniences this may have caused. Please remember that EVERY coach must attend or view a youth rules interpretation session EACH year. If you attended the NJJGLL sponsored clinic at Drew University on January 29th and saw Laura McCarthy's presentation in person, you are ready for the 2011 season. If you were not there, now is the time to get caught up and compliant to coach this spring. We encourage you to get this done no later than the end of this month.

Website Changes

We have made a number of changes to NJJGLL.org to accommodate the new League structure that was approved last fall.

The most significant changes relate to team information. The new Team Divisions are now part of the Information Update Page - http://www.njjgll.org/update. We have added a new "drop down" menu for you to indicate the new Team Levels (Select, Travel, Rec) for each of your teams. Additionally, you are now able to change team names on the update page and if you would like to delete a team, simply remove the team name and hit the "Update Team Details" button. Please DO NOT include Team Division or Team Level as part of your team's name (For example - Anytown Seniors Travel), instead use the drop down menus to record this information and it will be automatically displayed on the NJJGLL website, as further described below.

We also want all of our coaches to show off their US Lacrosse Level 1 Certification. In the coach contact section on the Update Page, you can simply click the box under "Level 1 Certification" so a check mark appears. There has also been an Assistant Coach designation added to the drop down menu.

In an effort to help towns schedule games, we have updated how we display a summary of Town/Team information on the site - http://njjgll.org/townteamconf.php. The summary page by conference shows how many teams each town has broken out by Team Division and Level of play.  (This is why it is so important that you utilize the drop down menus for Team Division and Level)

Please take a moment to update your town's info http://www.njjgll.org/update relating to all of these changes and note that the modifications you make will not appear live until they have been approved by the webmaster.

As always, if you have any comments or questions, we are here to help.  I encourage and welcome you to reach out to any member of the Board through the Contact Us section of the website.
