NJJGLL LanyardThis past weekend the NJJGLL officially launched a new lanyard initiative to acknowledge all of our US Lacrosse Level 1 and Level 2 certified coaches.  All attendees at the USL Level 1 Clinic in Basking Ridge received an Orange lanyard like the one pictured here in recognition of their commitment to become certified.  The Level 2 lanyards are purple to distinguish that additional achievement.  We remind you again that ALL coaches must attain their Level 1 certification in accordance with the League mandated phase-in plan found on the website

Much like the players are required to wear protective eyewear and a mouth guard to play the game, we will now be requiring coaches to display their credentials on the field during games to participate as well.  Attached to the end of the lanyard is a plastic sleeve in which you are to keep your current US Lacrosse membership card.  By adhering to these simple rules the umpires will be able to quickly determine if coaches have met their compliance deadlines.

For coaches that have already become Level 1 certified and/or that plan to advance on to Level 2, we will get you your lanyards before the games begin on April 14th.  Please communicate through your Program Administrators, who will then need to contact the Conference Presidents.

The Board is fully committed to this mandate. Please make every effort possible to attend one of the two remaining clinics (Mt. Olive High School & Millburn Middle School) being offered this winter and get your garb for 2010!
